An interesting experience. Unlike most resort travellers, our teenage son was with us, and we were here for a wedding rather than for a resort weekend. It's a beautiful building but very dark and somewhat cramped. It does not present itself as luxurious, but rather as an earthy alternative to the Four Seasons.

The staff were very friendly, and the bed was very comfortable. The TV worked pretty well, the bathroom was clean and the shower was spacious and attractive. The pool is beautiful, as is the beach, where there are chairs and umbrellas waiting, along with waiter service. We did not try the restaurants or the spas.

There were details I would change, including:
- a self-park option. We were in and out a lot, so every visit to the driveway was another tip so that someone could walk 20 feet and drive the car to us. Not necessary.
- the shower door was clear glass, so for a family with reasonable modesty, one could not use the sink while another was showering. The commode had a frosted glass door which provided privacy; the shower should have the same.
- the brush on the bottom of the room door scraped loudly whenever the door was open, which was disturbing when an early riser went in and out while others were sleeping
- some of the outlets didn't work well
- the wi-fi was inexcusably TERRIBLE, especially in this day and age
- ice can only be obtained via room service, i.e. another tip

In all, it was a nice weekend, not distinctive, not spectacular, but nice.
