To make this as simple as possible I will write a timeline of events.

2012/11/21-Sent email asking about repairing my broken laptop screen.

2012/12/07-Received reply that said "we do repair laptop screens. But our hardware guy isn't here right now. I will get back to you.

2012/12/19-called and was told to call back after Christmas. Due to extra off time.

2013/01/08-Decided to order part online and complete the repair myself.
