Why a 2-star review put in context this is a 5-star hotel and is priced accordingly so this review is based on price and all facilities/services provided.
In terms of facilities ->

Public space - not many places to lounge overall 2 rooms and the bar ( but very pleasant but super quiet in the evening). Not exactly the idea of a sprawling castle most space in the hotel is allocated to individual rooms.

Spa - a joke, swimming pool and a steam room (my local leisure centre is better equipped) NB the jacuzzi was out of service for re-tiling (supposedly completed in March 2020 but appears to have been out of use for some time). Also, children in the spa after 1700 nobody bothered (staff) even though meant to be adults only after this time. Food - extremely limited choice, venue and time. Rushed by staff to book on arrival or you will not eat at the hotel other than bar snacks. This is very poor in terms of service for 5-star but the prices appear to ensure most people eat elsewhere.
