All of their 5-star reviews are from people who have only reviewed one thing, this company. They are likely employees.

They are money driven, not customer driven. I've had service with them for several years, and was going to leave them this year, but couldn't due a shortage of time to implement something new.

In 2011 I reactivated my account with them. At the time you had to purchase a lifetime license and then pay annual fees to keep the service. Which seemed fair enough. At the time they charged me $4,000 for my licenses, on a payment plan(a few had been purchased a few years before).

From that time until 2018, it was been about a $1,200-$1,500 annual renewal for an app that simply allows people to clock in and out. Also seemed reasonable.

Then in 2018 they decide to tell me they are no long supporting the version I had and that I would need to buy new licenses on an annual basis and for every single employee. I ended up paying $3,200 and when my company grew i had to purchase additional annual licenses just to clock these employees in. And when the busy season was over I was stuck with additional licenses. Oh and in order for my junior and I to look at time cards we needed our own licenses, despite the fact that we didn't need to clock in or out.

This year I decided to stick with them because I did not have enough time to try someone knew, but also decided that I would try and use their mobile forms for clocking in and out. Apparently they only have 2 forms available. When we asked about customized forms they said that to add them we would minimally be paying $1,375 because of some BS about having to add it to the back end.

I understand that everyone is trying to make a profit, but the way they are trying to achieve it is almost criminal.

If I were starting off or looking at switching from someone else, I would avoid Exaktime completely.

I am giving them only 2 stars because at least the clock in and clock out work like they are supposed to, but the cost is outrageous and their business practices are terrible.
