Disappointed. After reading so many great reviews...

Disappointed. After reading so many great reviews, we were excited to go, although we live here. First, they tell you to be there at 4:30, but don't open up until 5:15. They want everyone to be 'on-time'..thanks for managing ..aka wasting my time. Second, the 'pre' activities were awesome, but we only had less than 20 mins to do...then they made us sit down. The rest was pretty much what you'd expect, hula dancers, big nice looking Hawaiians acting the part. They were all fine, guess I've lived here too long, b/c it seemed so hokey. But whatever, still fun. Food, was plate lunch style..not much variety. It was good. Just thought there would be more choices..like the Disney luau. Oh, and it rained the entire time. They provided ponchos, but this just added to the night. Don't buy the 'Royal' or other upgraded packages, they are not worth it. Everyone sees the same show and you can buy the 'extras' for a fraction of what they charge for the add-ons.
