We visited Parkroyal on a day pass. Staying in Georgetown the heat was getting to us and we were looking to escape to the beach. Read about Batu Ferringhi as a good beach to walk but not swim. Parkroyal was a great alternative. 40 MYR to get in and you had the use of beach chairs, hammocks, pools (water slides and separate pool for kids), shower, bar and restaurant and still walk the beach. Good call as agree with other posts this is not an inviting beach to swim in, especially during jellyfish season. Restaurant was pricey by Malaysian standards but not outrageous.
