My husband and I had an amazing trip to the Getty....

My husband and I had an amazing trip to the Getty. Museums are not his "thing", but he was impressed by the architecture and the travertine. He told me he thought he was going to hate it, but he had a blast walking around admiring the structure, asking the tour guides questions about construction, and admiring the stunning! views. The place is huge, so we picked one tour to get a feel for the place, and then we walked around on our own for a bit. I think it would be difficult to take in the Getty in one day. We got there when it opened Saturday, and while it was busy it was not overwhelming. I did go back alone during the week, and several schools were there on a field trip which made for a much more chaotic, less leisurely / peaceful experience. The gardens are a must see!
