Review of Mulates Cajun Restaurant

I went here for an event dinner with a large group...

I went here for an event dinner with a large group. We were set up in a back room of the restaurant with a separate entrance. That was nice so we could have our group without trooping through the restaurant and potentially disturbing the other guests.

The food was served buffet style. The chicken dishes were OK, certainly nothing to write home about. The gumbo and the jambalaya, however, were excellent. Those dishes made me want to visit the restaurant again as a "regular" customer next time I'm in town.

The bar tenders did a very nice job, as did the rest of the staff. All in all I thought the dinner was a success. And, as I mentioned, I will come back again to try some other dishes at Mulate's.
