Looking at the 5 star reviews, it seems it is a requirement to give one once you become employed at Camp Jewell. As someone who s sent their kids here for a few summers, at least half of the names on this list are recognizable as staff and directors.

Here s a real review: Not a fan of what it s become. 30 years ago when I went here, tradition was key, consistency was key, building relationships was key. Now, staff sit around and just flirt/chat with other staff. My kids told me me during down time they don t have counselors because their counselors are trying to hook up. Now I get it, I was a 20 year old once too, but come on, that s ridiculous. They do not care about the kids. It used to be kids first. It used to be a good place with people who truly care about child development. It used to be a place I felt safe sending my kids. No longer.

With a 14 and a 12 year old, we are off to find a new camp this summer and urge you to as well.
