My wife and I came to the Wilmington area in May to begin our search for a community or property that we might build our next home and eventually retire in. We had no intention to buy, and had planned to spend 5 days in the area visiting various communities and to get a feel for the area. Compass Point was our last scheduled community on the list of places to visit. Upon the entry into the gated community, and seeing the visible investments in the amenities, the well maintained grounds, the variety of home styles, to the professionalism of the Compass Point Staff we knew this place felt different from the other locations we had visited. With a new section just opening we found the perfect lot and after a nice dinner on the river walk in Wilmington and discussing the pros and cons of all the other communities we have visited over the last four years, putting a deposit down on the lot was easy. Compass Point offered us everything we were looking for and was the best value for our money. We can't wait to break ground sometime in late 2018.
