I grew up going to Stuckey Farm and always loved it. I remember riding the hayride to the patch and picking out a pumpkin every year. I was so excited to bring my daughter for her first visit this year and let her pick out her first pumpkin from the same patch I used to visit. She s under 2 so she would have been free, but we quickly realized it would cost my husband and I $25.00 just to walk through the pumpkin patch with her! We were shocked! We were certainly prepared to pay for the pumpkin, maybe a slushie, and I even thought there may be a new fee for the hayride... but $25 just to get through the gate and walk around? It breaks my heart to see this place has become so expensive and commercialized . I understand having a fee for activities, but I feel this should be more of an a la carte type of structure. Kind of like you pay for what you do. Especially for families who have really little kids and are unable to take advantage of all the fall festival activities. And then maybe have the wristband option for families who want to take advantage of everything. We did end up walking through the free apple picking rows which basically led us back out in to the parking lot, haha.
