This may be a fine place if you are having a pregnancy with no risk factors, but I recently had a miscarriage at about ten weeks and I didn t like the way it was handled at all. They didn t hear a heart beat with the fetal monitor and sent me to the hospital for an ultraspind where there was a tech who gave it to me and could not give me and information. I got a call later that it was a miscarriage. I just went in for my final follow up and was handed a questionnaire to discern if I had postnatal depression. The form asked for the birthdate of my child! It just all felt very insensitive and inperonal. Then I told her I d seen my primary care dr and she had diagnosed me as anemic (I ended up losing a lot of blood when I miscarried) The midwife asked what my hemoglobin was and when I told her she said, that s not that bad. If my hemoglobin was any lower I d need a blood transfusion! Also when I asked her when we could try to conceive again she said it s best to wait several months. What does that even mean? I didn t feel like anyone one there explained things well and like I said it all was handled in a very impersonal way. I m going with an OBGYN if I get pregnant again.
