We have had to use an acute treatment facility four times in 8 months. Cedar Crest was our first experience and we didn't know ANYTHING. When our child was discharged, they didn't have anything in place for her after PHP (Partial Hospitalization Program). We didn't know about getting a psychiatrist or needing to find a therapist. Within 45 days of discharge, we were back at the ER needing another bout of acute treatment. Metroplex in Killeen was much better at assisting with discharge and setting up appointments with a psychiatrist and therapist for follow up.
