Really enjoyed my visit there. The grounds are immaculate and service is excellent. We don't golf, but a lot of people are there for golfing. We took advantage of the horseback riding - first time on a horse. It was really fun and the guide was excellent. The location is outside of downtown SD and outside major touristy La Jolla, but close enough to visit everything. It was great to be at the hotel just to relax and be in a beautiful environment.

We only ate at the Amaya and didn't eat at their other restaurants. Amaya was just ok, in my opinion. It was very good food, but I was expecting it to "wow" me, which it didn't. I eat out a lot in NYC and it wasn't quite the same. Regardless, for the overall hotel experience, I still give the hotel 5 stars!
