This very remote National Park is 70 miles off Key West. It has great birding, and a lot of history. It is the largest and strongest fort the United States built. Is it worth the 2-1/2 hour ferry ride to get there and then to get back, maybe. [yes, you can take a float plane or your own boat]. I enjoyed the trip and seeing the place, but will probably make the trip again.
