The hotel was quiet and clean and room service was good with great food.

The problem occurred when we left my wife's wedding dress (just married on our way to our honeymoon) and my tux at the front desk for friends to pick up later. We asked if they could handle this and they said they do this all the time. We took them at their word.

When we arrived back at our home a week later we realized half of our bags from the hotel were missing! The baggage handlers at the hotel only handed off the wedding dress.

The REAL issue was when I called the hotel to find the missing bag and was transfered to Karmen MacMaken, the Lost and Found Rep. She was very rude. She accused me of calling her improperly when I was actually transfered to her by the front desk! She then refused to listen to me when she asked me to describe the missing bag. Then she said "We don't ship stuff for free!"

All in all, a comfortable place to sleep and a good place to eat. But for the love of God don't leave any bags behind to be picked up by friends, even if they say they do it all the time. I've never had a hotel botch a simple pick-up so badly, then tell me it was my fault for trusting them to do such a simple task, then charge me $30 to ship me the bag they lost!

I hope that no one is ever as distressed as I was trying to locate missing luggage and comes across Ms. Karmen MacMacken. If I can't trust a hotel to do what is says, then I can't give it my business. If the management of this hotel thinks it is permissible to allow its employees to talk to customers like that then it probably has other problems as well.
