My 10 year old boy needed to have surgery to remove a tumor from his liver that was growing and changing shape. I live on Long Island but had no issue with traveling wherever I needed to in order to obtain the best care for him. After doing my research I decided to take him to LIVS and have Dr. Loughin perform the surgery. An excellent decision that I am very happy with. The surgery went very well, and the tumor, which turned out to be cancerous, was completely removed. My boy came out of the hospital walking to my car like a puppy, you would never know he just had major surgery. I have to say that everyone I had contact with at LIVS treated us with the utmost professionalism and compassion. I felt very comfortable with my boy there and the after care he received. Any issues were promptly addressed by email or phone. Dr. Loughin called me a few times after the surgery to check in on his recovery. This is a tough decision for any pet parent, but as for me I am very glad I chose to have this procedure performed at LIVS. I would highly recommend them.
