Recently I paid off my vehicle the funds were pending from my bank and Santander consumer USA sent me the title and lien release document I was on cloud nine excited about the money I was going to save on the interest and being one step closer to being debt free but that all came crashing down 2 months later when I received a automated statement saying I still owed the payoff amount and on top of that the interest as well as substantial late fees I called there office only to be mocked and told it was my fault I asked them was it common practice to send out the title and lien release with out confirmation of payment they would not answer they just blambed me for there mistake and told me I would pay the late fee and the interest or they repo my vehicle I will not do business with this company they are unwilling to work with you on simple matters and there website doesn't work either so I was not able to make my payment with out using the automated system which then charged me another fee miss the days when lenders earned there money on interest not fees
