I never chose Reliance Technologies, but I interviewed with a Manhattan, NY technology company and Reliance was the most common contractor they worked with. Reliance didn't have to do anything to earn money for every hour I worked for over a year except send me a W-2, make HSA contributions when I requested them, and correctly calculate my taxes. They managed to flub each of these in turn.

Here's a list of some of the problems I had with them.

- Frequently they wouldn't acknowledge my emails about HSA contributions... they would sometimes make them without acknowledging, other times they wouldn't.

- They made a $2700 mistake with my taxes that I ended up owing at the end of the year. They acted like it was no big deal. When I threatened to use another agency, they called my boss to make sure I was going to be working there for a while before giving me $500 to placate me.

- When my contract ended, they didn't send me COBRA insurance information until AFTER I requested it.

- They refused to send me a paper W-2, and just sent me a PDF, even when I requested a paper copy.

I would not recommend using them.
