Having visited Dubai a few times previously Sofitel The Palm certainly has a lot to learn from its neighbouring hotels.
The Hotel resort itself is a lovely place, the level of service from the staff in the hotel is definately not.
It does seem that the staff are not trained to look after peoples needs at the prestigious Palm Dubai area.
This quite poor (considering they say they are 5 star) service started from when we paid for early check in but on the 8am arrival we were told there was a delay in the room being prepared. We had 2 small kids and the room wasnt ready until 1pm!
Pool and beach staff very good.
Manava terrible 1 star.
Porterhouse poor.
The Hotel and resort is quite expensive but we didnt mind this having stayed at other Hotels on the Palm previously.
I think the service at a Hotel is made by the people running it.
I would rate this Hotel at 3/4 star resort.
5 star it is not!
