Do yourself a huge favour to your career and do no...

Do yourself a huge favour to your career and do not work at this company. Read below which will help you know more:

1. The working conditions are unsafe and do not meet the expectations of the ministry of labour. During the winter, chemists were working under cold temperatures between 3-5 degrees Celsius. Management did not care to initiate fixing this until the ministry of labour got involved.

2.Fume hoods do not work and to avoid hearing the alarm indicating that ventilation is not properly working, management turns off the noise leaving chemists and pickers at a higher risk of inhalation of dangerous chemicals.

3.There is a reoccurring odour that has lasted for the past few years which has come to many of our knowledge of being a skunk. Management are aware of this and have left the poor skunk living above the labs without calling animal services to remove it. The smell spreads through the hallways and labs and chemists are forced to put on a respirator. If you don t care about toxic odours filling your workplace environment, then consider this animal that is being exposed to dangerous chemicals of which some are fatal if come in contact with.

4.There was a fatal chemical spill incident which took place a few months ago which was later discovered to be phosgene. This chemical is known to be fatal if inhaled. Chemists left the labs and waited for further instructions while they kept clear of the area. Managers were ordering their chemists to return to their work even in these dangerous conditions. People were not informed through a properly functional PA system that this fatal compound was phosgene, and there was no alarm to notify the building that there needed to be an evacuation. (Mind you, there are pregnant women in this company). Eventually the building was evacuated until the chemical spill was taken care of but some people went home because they didn t feel safe.

5.There are quarterly meetings held every few months to discuss updates and while each and every chemist feels that this company is not safe, underpays all it s employees, takes advantage and disrespects the safety of the staff, the CEO, Tony, and HR manager, Laura, make sure to remind the chemists at the meeting that it s their fault for working in unsafe conditions and that they should speak up. Well, many chemists have spoken up, and there is never anything done until matters are escalated by going directly to the ministry of labour.

6.Nobody is on your side, HR, the CEO, the department managers and the owners only care about making money and do not recognize the Academic credentials, skills, and talent that its employees attain. TRC underpays its employees in every single department. And with that, they aren t realizing that everyone hates the social environment at work, let alone the physical environment that lacks safety. If you think about working at this company, think first if the laughable compensation is worth putting yourself in danger to work for these people.

7.there is no growth in this company. People leave all the time because they realize soon enough that there is no future career developed from working at TRC. The turnover rate is ridiculously high. Employees are not happy. HR and the CEO don t care to fix that or improve the happiness and loyalty of their staff, so they are constantly losing valuable people.

8. None of the chemists or administrative people trust the HR manager. As much as you need HR to help you get through workplace issues, this company doesn t have a trustworthy HR manager so good luck resolving issues on your own until you land a better job.

9.If this review isn t enough to warn you to steer clear of this disappointing pharmaceutical company, then maybe looking at all the reviews together should convince you of the major points that have been made here.
