Beautiful scenery, nice walking paths. This hotel is outdated, which in Europe I can completely overlook, but it s also dirty. We arrived early and walked through the hotel, at the outside pub tables dirty dishes and old food sat, a fork on the floor in the lobby. I figured they d had a busy lunch so let it go but was surprised 6 hours later when we came back from a walk and dinner out to see the same dirty dishes and fork there. We asked for ice at the front desk so my husband could ice his sore knee, no they didn t have any. The lovely waitress at the hotel restaurant helped us put some in a trash bag. The worst part was after a long day I went to lay my head down and just kept smelling vomit but couldn t find it,
Well I pulled up the sheets and the top of them smelled disgusting like vomit. I went to the desk and asked for a new room, the unfriendly staff said they didn t have one, then asked for sheets to be changed, I was brought a new set of sheets and changed the bed myself. No apology or offer to help. We certainly weren t expecting a five star stay but this was a disappointing experience.
