Me and my mother went to Blue Gill last Saturday during the dinner hours. We had been to Blue Gill before and had enjoyed the food so we decided to return. But this visit was not a good one. We arrived at 7:15 when the hostess told my mother that it would be a 20 minute wait for a table inside the restaurant. We said that would be fine and ask for them to put us on the waiting list. We received a text message supposedly verifying that we were on the list. So we sat in the waiting area for us to be called. After 35 minutes of waiting we began to see people whom had asked to be on the list after us going in and being seated. When we asked the hostess she replied that we needed to wait our turn and there were several more people in-front of us. So we waited 15 more minutes and still people whom had asked to be added to the list after us were being seated. We asked the hostess and she said it may be another 30 minutes. When we were finally seated they placed a ticket on our table saying we didn't get put on the list til 7:45. And this was not true. When we got our food it was over cooked and tough. I do not think we will be returning to Blue Gill after this. It's just the principle of not lying about your wait times to look good on google reviews.
