Three weeks after departing this hotel I was contacted on WhatsApp by an employee of this hotel who had obtained my confidential information from his workplace.
This employee told me that I had a balance owing and that my taxi driver has said he would return to pay the remaining bill. This of course, was a complete lie.
When I was checking out on the morning of my departure it was clear the receptionist had no idea how to do his job. At first he was accusing me of staying an extra day, despite all of the evidence I showed him to the contrary.
Finally he processed the payment on my credit card and I was assured the bill had been settled.
Now three weeks later, this employee was harrassing me via WhatsApp with my contact information that should have been kept confidential by this establishment.
Their accusations don t even make any sense - why would I only pay a portion of the bill when I had a perfectly working credit card ready to process? And why would a taxi driver offer to pay the bill for a complete stranger who is willing and able to settle any amounts owing right then and there? It is complete nonsense!
It appears that this employee charged through the wrong amount, it was deducted from his salary and he decided to accuse me (and my witness taxi driver) of lying.
I contacted the management of this hotel, expecting some kind of explanation and apology but instead the General Manager accused me of knowing there was a balance outstanding but leaving anyway!
Clearly the mistake was made by the receptionist, but instead of the hotel emailing me like a professional establishment and resolving the issue, my contact details were passed to an employee so he could accuse and harass me three weeks later. And the manager saw no problem with any of this!
Disgusting customer service and I would never step foot in this place ever again!
