Stayed 5 days as my spouse was competing in a golf tournament at the hotel.<br/>Upon arrival, greeted with a friendly bell hop, checked in and went to our room.<br/>After reading reviews, looking at pictures of the hotel on their website. We were excited to stay in a luxury 5 star hotel, with a nice room. <br/>We were disappointed. <br/>For this price point, our expectations were not met.<br/>First room we recieved was stuffy, hot and not what we expected. With a ok view of the garden area.<br/>After 15 mins, I called the front desk to see if we would be able to switch rooms as the piano music from the Sea View restaurant was clearly heard in the room. <br/>We had just come off of a 7hr over night flight from Canada and very tired. So we asked for a quieter room.<br/>Reception was kind enough to move us to a lower floor away from the noise.<br/>The new room was quiet. Although we looked directly into a wall and the emergency doors.<br/>Understandably, we did ask for a different room. But for $200+ a night this was disappointing. <br/>The lack of air conditioning was also a downer.<br/>The breakfast was a nice treat, with lots of options. And the staff were friendly.<br/>Then we got had the Jameson Pub. Service was lacking and unfriendly. It took at least 10 minutes each time just to catch the attention of a server. Including sitting at the bar.<br/>Understanding that it was busier due to the golf tournament. But I would have expected more staff on hand to help with the influx of people.<br/>Everyone seemed annoyed that we were there. Noting this was both when it was the spouse and I. As well when we were with our golfing groups.<br/>The spouse was disappointed with the pro shop, stating it bare, and seemed unequipped for our group.<br/>With the biggest frustration being when they were on their last day of tournament and the pro shop allowed two groups not in the tournament to randomly start on hole 8, while our group was finishing hole 7. The caused a 25 minute delay in their game and put off the rest of their game.<br/>Went to make a full day reservation at the spa.<br/>I was greeted with a cold shoulder and the feeling I was a nuisance. <br/>I left without making an appointment and ended up booking a 400.00 spa day elsewhere. <br/>Overall, good location.<br/>Wouldn't stay again.
