I went to Anasazi as a "young walker" in 1994 when I was 15 years old. It really helped me gain a sense of my worth as a person and lead me to be aware and accountable for my actions. It also helped me and my parents communicate better. I began to see them as people and not just my parents. I believe it also helped them to see me as a person as well. It didn't "fix" me, I still made choices my parents didn't like, but I reflect back to my time on the trail and everything I learned there often, and it helps me to be a better person.
When I turned 23 I went back as a "trail walker". I worked there for about 2 years and Anasazi changed my life again.
I have since worked at other treatment programs and this one is by far the best!!
