The suites here are just exceptional - a 1000 square-foot room with separate living room, bedroom and a 60-ft long patio. This is by far the largest room we've ever had in NYC. While this was an upgrade, even the standard rooms are generously sized and well appointed considering the area. The free Select Guest program gives you free wifi, morning drinks, and a whole list of other privileges that normally are charged extras in other hotels so don't forget to sign up.

All the amenities here are typical of Omni's high standards - one of my favorites is the gym, which is huge with a great view of the city. The Fireside lounge is excellent for afternoon or after work drinks, boasting some well made cocktails and reasonably priced food items (the $12 duck empanada is very filling and the $12 dessert sampler is great if you have a sweet tooth).

The location is also ideal for exploring Manhattan. Being a block or two away from the busy areas means the rooms are blissfully quiet for sleeping but it's easy to walk to 5th Avenue, Times Square and Grand Central. There's plenty to see within a ten minute walk as well and subways are not far either.

Overall the service was excellent with everyone from the bellmen and front desk to housekeeping going out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed for our stay. They were extremely accommodating with our late check-out and made everything run very smoothly. The next time I'm back in the city, this is where I'll be staying.
