If I could provide this business with a negative count on the stars I would gladly, do so. I have been living in the Meadowbrook apartments for close to 2 years. I've had some maintenance requests be delayed sometimes for weeks even when calling in multiple times, or filling out the online form. Though this was more of an inconvenience not a big problem, for my family and I.

The biggest affront so far and the reason for this review was when my wife called to find out the details of our lease, as we seek to move due to high cost of living in this area. We will be moving one month before the lease is up, to note we have never been late with rent at all nor had any complaints filed against us for any reason. We tried to find some leniency (granted it is ok, if they can't do us any favors) by calling to the office and pleading our case. One of the ladies from the office (Darla was the name I was given) proceeds to cut my wife off, not letting her speak and then proceeds threaten her to take our security deposit and also renew our lease without our consent. My wife then asked to speak to her manager, Ashley or Ashleigh who then denies that any of that occurred as she was "overhearing" the conversation. She then also says that per the lease we will have to cover that last month and lose our security deposit, but also pay a re-rent fee of $200 for leaving one month before the lease is up!

I get a call from a distraught wife, so I decide to go to the office in person, a stones throw away from the apartments. I walk into the office and speak to Ashley, who without being part of the conversation reminds me she heard the whole phone conversation, goes on to protect her colleague. She then tells me that my wife had gotten rude with her, which I then ask was it before or after the threats of taking the security deposit or renewing our lease without notice? She didn't respond to my question. I was calm the whole time, and just calmly asked for a copy of the confirmation to not renew the lease with them and their names. (Magically Darla, the main person who was part of the phone altercation, did not have a calling card) The person who my wife spoke to didn't even come out of their office to speak to me. This company has a history of being abusive to it's tenants and is somewhat akin to a slum lord in Concord, NH.

I am writing this review as I have believe I have no current recourse for what has transpired, this office is the corporate office and their is no official way to file complaints either to the company nor via any governmental agency. If you are deciding to move into an apartment within the state of New Hampshire, please be aware of your rights as a tenant, they are basically non-existent. Avoid this property management company at all costs, while the rent is cheap, everything is run down, fixes take a long time and a lot of prodding to get anyone to acknowledge them.
