The Orthopedic Drs. at Portsmouth Naval Hospital saved my life. I found them to be very professional, caring and experts in the Orthopedic field. The nurse s overall were excellent. I will always be thankful for the excellent care I got. I'm sending a big THANK-YOU to the orthopedic ward where I was from Aug. 21, 1977- Nov. Thanksgiving 1977. I went in after head-on collision around a blind curve on my dirt bike.Officers that investigated accident said it was compared to hitting a brick wall at 90 mph. Forever grateful for the prompt decisions they made in putting me back together after multiple fractures from head to toe, the worst being compound fracture of left femur which came out of thigh about 6 inches.
