My husband and I are now regulars at Ananda. This is our fourth visit and we plan to come twice a year - preferring to come here to holiday rather than go to any exotic place abroad. The reason?
Ananda is exquisite in almost every way.

The property is sprawling, undulating, green, carefully manicured lawns, fringed with trees, long stretches to walk on, a 6 hole golf course, a swimming pool, gym, restaurant and...the spa!

The spa has to be one of the best in the world. Spic 'n span in cleanliness, the therapy rooms are comfortable and the therapists are highly skilled. you can avail of different therapies from all over the world. A perfect blend of Ayurvedic and international therapies.
the personnel are friendly, polite and gentle except when it comes to a massage! Even the daintiest therapist has terrific strength.

The palace houses a conference room, a library with old and rare books that you can't take out and have to read there, a wonderfully elegant tea room that looks as if it stopped in time. This is where high tea is served every evening and there is a pool table. This is also where the reception is.

The restaurant is world class. If you are on a wellness programme, the staff will diligently encourage you to stick to the wellness menu and if you want to simply indulge in the food, there's that too.
The cuisine is delicately flavoured and prepared. The food is not covered in layers of fat or oil. It is prepared in such a way that the flavour of the ingredients come through clearly. You don't feel stuffed at the end (if you do not stuff yourself, that is!). Needless to say, the expertise of the chef shines through the food served.

The rooms are extremely comfortable and well maintained. Bright and airy, spending time in the room, should you choose to do so, is really nice.

Hrishikesh is at the foothills and the Ganga aarti is a wonderful sight to see.

To us, Ananda is a home away from home and we recommend it as
the number one destination, if you are looking for some pampering and a peaceful, beautiful getaway!
