I recently drove about 1.5 hours to this dealer to check out a used Jetta TDI that was priced very competitively. The car looked very nice in the photos online and had a clean carfax. I called the dealer to confirm availability that morning and was told it was available. When I arrived and went with a salesman to look at the car, I discovered that there was significant body damage on the passenger rear door. This damage was not disclosed on the web description and has not been reported back to carfax. When I said I was not interested in a vehicle that had damage, we looked at two other Jetta's they had on the lot. One still smelled like smoke from the previous owner and the other seemed like it was exactly what I was looking for. It wasn't until after we had agreed to a price and negotiated the value for my trade that they pulled out the carfax to disclose repaired damage on this vehicle as well. When I checked the vehicle again, it appeared as though it had rear-ended another vehicle, despite carfax showing "no accidents - other damage reported."

Ultimately, I walked away and am looking for my next car elsewhere. I'd suggest that anyone considering purchasing a used car from this dealer have an independent mechanic inspect the vehicle first.
