I went to the spa with my mother-in-law and sister-in-law two weeks ago. We all had different services and all would rate our overall service at around 4. Here's the pros and cons of each service and technician.

REFLEXOLOGY (5/5): I found this to be quite relaxing. Teresa was excellent at the massage. I probably could have asked for more pressure but didn't. I really liked how calm and relaxed Teresa's demeanor was. She put relaxing music on and didn't speak for the entire session, which really gave me time to relax. Afterwards, I felt as if most of my body had been massaged, even though it was just my feet. I would definitely go again!

FACIAL (4/5 for me; 5/5 for my MIL): We both had the Organic Illuminating Eminence Facial. The facial itself was AMAZING. Shawna did a fantastic job. I could really feel the products working and she knew exactly how much pressure to apply for a relaxing yet effective facial. I especially liked the pressure she used for the shoulder and leg massage. My MIL also loved it. I would give the facial a 4/5 only because I would've wanted a more quiet facial (but felt it would be rude to say it). I gave Shawna one-word answers to her questions for a while thinking she'd understand I didn't want to talk but it didn't work. On the other hand, my MIL loved the conversation part of the facial and really enjoyed talking to Shawna throughout. Shawna was really sweet and easy-going. We ended up buying a couple of products from her and she was nice enough to provide us with some samples too!

MASSAGE (3/5) - My MIL had a 60 minute massage from the RMT. She wasn't very impressed. She felt that the RMT didn't seem very present and appeared to be somewhat distracted. Also, the RMT didn't provide equal treatment on her whole body. For example, the RMT massaged one foot and toes and didn't do the other one. She definitely expected better treatment from a spa.

PEDICURE (4/5): My SIL had a 60 minute pedicure. The pedicure itself was nice and relaxing, and her nail technician, Alma, was also pleasant and skilled. My SIL had brought a book with her thinking that she could read during the 1 hour appointment. Every time she started reading Alma would start talking to her and she'd have to put down her book. This happened multiple times.

IDLEWYLD INN: PROS -The location and architecture is beautiful. The grounds of the Inn are stunning and it's a beautiful place to get pampered. The hostess was very pleasant and offered us tea/coffee upon our arrival. Shawna offered us tea/coffee after our treatments. CONS - Being a spa and us (my MIL and myself) getting multiple treatments, it would have been nice to have been directed to put on a robe. I have been to many spas and every one of them (even the small ones) direct you to put on a robe to help you relax and 'feel' like you're at a spa. Both my MIL and I were taken to our first service fully dressed, even though we saw robes hanging in the rooms. Lastly, the staff should be able to read their patrons' body language to determine if they are the type of people to talk during treatments or not. For my SIL and myself, we would have preferred more quiet during our treatments.
