Unbelievably expensive! Granted, no admission fee...

Unbelievably expensive! Granted, no admission fee for kids under 12, but given the prices of things you have to pay for once you get in, I'd rather pay for the kids and have a 'all inclusive' price. Food very good, but again $16.00 for two slices of plain pizza and 3 bottles of water! $8.00 for a pulled pork sandwich? $5 for three shots at a basketball hoop? AND, arrival parking was not a problem. BUT, it took more than 1 hour to exit the parking lot. 'Traffic controllers' had no control! Four of them working the exit and it wasn't until the two State Policemen arrived that the traffic began to move. Fortunately, I didn't have a specific budget to work with so I was able to provide my grandkids with a fun day. However, next year I'll probably skip the DC fair and take my grandkids to an event that is more economically friendly!
