LONG time seller of nearly 20 years. Ebay's leaders apparently lost touch with buyers and sellers. They have essentially propelled Amazon, launched Etsy and made CraigsList soar with their customer service attitude. Employees talk down to customers, they can freeze accounts, promises from a CSR can be overturned by the next representative and one is required to allocate copious amounts of time to calling Ebay over and over even when listing as-is items when people open claims. For a platform that I once loved, it want slowly downhill and the platform has lost appeal. I operate a large facility that I purchased for Ebay and associated sales and I currently do little lases on Ebay as we avoid it as the venue of last resort and focus on different revenues streams because dealing with Ebay is an exercise in futility dealing with with Ebay's representatives. If they closed their doors tomorrow, few would shed a tear as Ebay brought this on themselves.
