THIS IS FOR THEIR NEUTER CLINIC ONLY**

I took my 5 month old kitten to be neutered here on August 12th and wanted to wait a bit before posting a review. Firstly this is a much more affordable option than any other place I've called. The women who work here were wonderful and helpful. They make you feel at ease and talk you through any questions you might have. They seem to really care about each cat that comes through.

What I like about this place is that you can make an appointment unlike the ASPCA mobile clinics which are first come first serve. Their neuter clinic is not every day, so make sure to call in and inquire on their next date and make an appointment.

The neuter/spay clinic is BEHIND the actual store front in a separate trailer type thing in their parking lot. Make sure you bring your kitten in a carrier. 1 cat per carrier!

For $85, you get the rabies vaccine, the feline distemper vaccine, ear cleaning, nail trim and neuter or spay. At my local veterinarian it costs $45 for just 1 of the vaccines. You can also add the microchip option for $25.

My kitten didn't need a cone after the surgery. It says online that newer surgery techniques don't use traditional stitches so the kitten isn't in danger of pulling them out or infecting the incision site. And after 3 weeks my kitten has been fine without a cone, so I'm assuming they're using these newer techniques.

I took the LIRR in and dropped him off, got some food at a nearby diner, and picked him up a couple hours later. My kitten Pluto was awake and I hadn't realized he had been drugged at all until we got home. I noticed he was drowsy and wobbly when I left him out of his carrier (and managed to get a pretty funny video of him looking kind of drunk). However after a nap and his dinner around 8pm.. he was running around like his usual hyper little self.

It's been 3 weeks since his surgery and there have been no complications at all. And while the first day and half he seemed to eat normally, about the 2nd to 4th day he was eating a little less. I read this can happen because this is when the medication fully leaves their system and the kitten feels more sore. So don't be too worried if that happens to your kitty too.

I'm so grateful that this place exists and was able to take my kitten.
