I am proud to say that I earned my PhD in Psychology with an emphasis in I/O Psychology from GCU. Overall, I had a very positive experience. Yes, I had to work hard and overcome significant obstacles, but that is to be expected in a doctoral program and part of the learning process. I always felt that I had the support from faculty and staff. As an online learner, you have to take initiative for your own success. I did complete the program in under 4 years, but I also quit my job in the final year to fully focus on my research topic and complete my dissertation. I will say that on a slow week, I spent an average of 25-30 hours on my studies. On a big week, I spent upwards of 80-100 hours just on my studies/research. On average, over the 4- years, I would say that it was closer to 35-40 hours/week. GCU is a wonderful program and they ultimately helped me achieve my personal goal of earning my PhD. Thank you!
