Maspero is the name of the huge building on the bank of the Nile Nile, the headquarters of Egyptian television, the oldest state television in the Middle East and Africa, after Iraqi television and Maspero is also the name of the street overlooking this building.

It was named after the French archaeologist Gaston Maspero (French: Gaston Maspero), who was president of the Egyptian Antiquities Authority.
