Just been associated with Wellington Terrace for about 2 weeks, when my father in law was privileged and lucky enough to have been selected to make WT his new home. The staff has been amazing, as they get to know every detail of his likes and dislikes. His health, safety, and well-being are their top priority. I would highly recommend this facility, and rate it "best in Ontario". UPDATE Nov. 17/2020... Nobody wants to see their loved one move into a Long Term Care facility. It is a difficult conversion to have with your family member. My only advice is don't put it off, until the list of "close calls" gets so long that it becomes urgent to make the move. The waiting lists for the best LTC homes in Ontario are very long so plan at least 2 years in advance. Your loved one will thank you in time. My wife and I toured 10 LTC homes before Covid hit. We saw some very poorly run FOR PROFIT locations, and a few good ones. Wellington Terrace, a not for profit county run facility, continues to stand out, above all the rest. The staff is amazing. We have learned that without good staff that are happy coming to work, the LTC home is not rated 5 stars, and you will not be happy placing your loved one at that location. WT has met all of our expectations, and we sleep well at night knowing that our loved one is in good hands. ( in time you will understand what I mean by that last comment, if you don't already know)
