I really don't understand how this restaurant can ...

I really don't understand how this restaurant can be so highly rated.
Food wise it's nowhere near a real Italian restaurant (I'm Italian), very disappointing. Yes the service was very attentive, but that's about it.
We were 4, we ordered lobster linguine, pizza margherita, aubergine parmigiana, a vegetable soup and some marinated fish as starter.
The lobster linguine wasn't linguine but was actually spaghetti, too soft (not al dente) and with not enough sauce or salt.
The parmigiana was way too salty and the pizza didn't look any better than the frozen one you get from Tesco. Nowhere near a real neapolitan pizza. Last but not least, the marinated fish wasn't marinated at all:it was just a plate with a slice of smoked salmon and mackerel (yes, exactly the same you get packaged from tesco). It wasn't even seasoned.
Since I was a bit sceptical and afraid of being disappointed I got the vegetable soup and that was actually ok: how wrong can you go with a minestrone?

I would strongly not recommend this place. Yes the waiters were nice but the food was just not fresh or up to Italian standards.
