Wonderful market in the heart of the city. We have come on other visits as well. It is smaller than other markets around the country but combined the outdoor flea market it offers many nice options for fresh produce, meats, desserts, gifts, prepared foods (Cuban sandwich, fish breakfast, Korean dumplings, and outdoor ones as well). There is an open hall next to the market with some tables and is used for performances as well. The Eastern Market Metro station makes it easy to get to. It's a great place for families to visit and to bring visitors. The bathrooms have an adequate number of spaces and are well maintained.
