Eugene Altadena Review of Hilton Sharks Bay Resor

We are a family of four and stayed three nights in January 2019 in two adjoining rooms. One was the Diamond Suite (bedroom + living room) and the other an adjoining room was a Deluxe room. Both bedrooms were the same size. We were in the newer part of the hotel which is a shuttle drive away from the original ocean front property. All the rooms are pool facing and it's quiet at all times.
What I liked about Hilton Sharks Bay
1. The staff are always friendly and eager to please. When I emailed Hilton about our room service taking over an hour and arriving cold, the staff went into full gear. The Assistant Manager Mohammed Elsayed called me to apologized and removed comped the meal. When we ordered room service again before leaving the hotel, the Restaurant Manager delivered the food himself and apologized as well. After our meal, one of the restaurant staff called to see how the meal was. I was very impressed that the staff responded quickly and vigorously! Thank you for making things right.
2. The newer rooms are spacious! The Diamond Suite had a living room which was nice to lounge in. The bathroom was large. The space made for a nice stay.
3. Snorkeling. We came to Sharm El Sheikh to snorkel. Hilton has its own beach area to snorkel. We brought our own gear but there is gear you can rent or use. The coral reef is beautiful and we saw a lot of fish and different varieties. I thought it was better than the snorkeling we did on the Big Island of Hawaii, We also snorkeled at the Main Beach at Ras Mohammed National Park. The drop off in the coral reef was great!! Loved it! Between these two places, we were very happy about coming to Sharm to snorkel.
What I didn't like about Hilton Sharks Bay
1. The food options are not the best quality. There is plenty of food but I felt the quality could be better at breakfast and room service.
Would I stay here again?
Yes. It's an affordable option with its own beach. If I were going to Sharm El Sheikh again, I would stay at Hilton Sharks Bay.
