My immigration i-94 problem was very complex and impossible, during my last visit (2018), the POE was at Abu-Dhabi and unfortunately the i-94 date (May-2020) in my i-979 was not updated by the CBP officer. I noticed it lately and in-order to correct this issue, I emailed the CBP office and after many emails (seeing all the docs), they replied that the i-94 date in i-797 is the latest as it is issued by USCIS, I was happy as it was clear from the CBP email solved the issue. However in last couple of months I was trying to change my employer and during the h1 transfer process one of the new employers attorney identified that my current i-94 is the one given from CBP during last entry (Mar-2018) due to something called last action rule. This means I am out of status since Mar-2018, this became a nightmare, I used to hear fun asia fm and mostly listen to Adam Malik helping immigration issues. I called in his office and took an appointment to discuss my issue. I got a call from his office immediately(i have shared all the required doc to him before the meeting) and got an appointment for that evening, he came on call and we discussed he firstly told that my issue was very difficult to solve however I asked for a meeting at his office. I met him at his office, he explained the possible solution however he didn't guarantee as the issue was past 1.5 years. However he told will do all the best way to solve the problem. After further correspondence with team for my case preparation, he also mentioned he will personally visit CPB office in Dallas to check on my issue. Last Thursday I got a call from Mr. Malik and he asked me to check my i-94 page and I could see the date update to my i-797 date and it was a miracle. He is an amazing attorney he took my case personally and appeared at CPB as my representative, his good connections at USCIS office and CBP, which helped my case.
