On September 22nd I made a visit to the Cedar Park Regional Medical Center emergency department with a small wound to my left lateral ankle. Upon being visually evaluated by the ER doctor, Adam Haushalter, I was diagnosed as having cellulitis. This diagnose we d made simply by looking at the affected area. No imagining or lab work was ordered. The FOOT was swollen and bright red. There was a heavy drainage from a blister that had formed on the bottom of the foot and a wound on the left outside ankle. I was then prescribed oral antibiotics and was told to follow up with my primary care doctor within 2 to 3 days. Three days later after having a temperature ranging from 101 to 102.3 for two days, I returned to a different emergency room. The emergency room doctor came in took one look at my foot and started to do bloodwork and other tests on my foot, stating to me that I had a severe infection. After spending the day in the hospital emergency room I was transferred to Round Rock to the main hospital campus and admitted. Subsequent testing revealed that I had a severe bone infection, that had apparently been there for quite a while.

I feel that my trip to Cedar Park was a waste of my time and couldn t have possibly been the loss of my foot or more. I had to not recommend Cedar Park Regional Medical Center.
