My mom was the first in our family to go. She went when there were only 2 villages. But then she got my bothers to go and I went as well. I started as a bandit and now I m going to be a CIT. The people I met and the memories I made are unforgettable. A part of me feels like I grew up there.
I did have some bad experience like being bullied by kids in my cabin but it was only two weeks and it s not like I was ever going to see them again.
My favorite memory of one of my counselors was when I was a Nitnois. I had a terrible ear ache and my councilor stayed up all night with me to make sure I was ok. I will never forget that.
Even my profile picture is something I painted at camp of something at camp.
I m forever grateful for having the experience of being part of such wonderful camp.
