We stayed at this resort for a week. When we got there we were placed in a room that was not the nicest room but could have been better seems we chose to stay at a Disney resort. We have stayed at lots of different resorts in Disney. (We try to experience them all) we have stayed at 3 other different value resorts along with Saratoga springs and cribbiean beach and others. I'm not comparing this room to the more expensive resorts I'm comparing it to other value resorts we have stayed at within Disney. We have never had a problem. They were always clean. This one was not. It was the first time I actually cleaned the tub and sprayed Lysol on the floor and wiped everything down with Lysol wipes. The rug looked like it's never been cleaned. The tub was dirty the sprinkler head broken. Fridge had no racks to set anything on. And we had 2 big bugs in the room that I made my husband kill after I ran out like a big baby (I hate bugs!) We didn't complain to be moved seems all we would be doing is sleeping in the room a few hours and spending the rest of our time at the parks. I took pictures to post but unfortunately my phone was stolen off my stroller at Hollywood studios so I no longer have "proof" as people would say. The only proof I have is the infection my daughter had all over her body from her sleeping in sheets that were not properly cleaned. The 2nd night we stayed she woke up with a little rash. As the day went on it became very itchy to her. So I gave her allergy meds to help. The next morning she woke up and had 10 times more so I called her dr and he told me based off what I was telling him he thinks it was bed bugs. So we called the front desk and told them and they let us know they didn't think it was bed bug and they had no other rooms available so they would have the maid spray the bed and change all the linens while we were out for the day. We got back that night around 1am due to extra magic hours at magic kingdom and the beds were remade etc so we let her go to sleep( big mistake) she was even more itchy and had more spots. Thank god we were checking out that day. We had to skip the park that day and we drove home. We took her to the dr(seen a NP) who said it looked infected gave us an antibiotic cream. Well after a week at school her school sent her home due to it spreading. I had to take her back to the dr and that's when we seen her normal dr who told us it was actually impentgo (skin infection) he said the most common place people usually catch it is at hotels with improperly washed bed linens. And it was highly contagious and very hard to get rid of! My daughter is covered head to toe in skin infection that itches her constantly. She has to take 2 oral antibiotics and a topical one. Our dr advised us to call the hotel and let them know so that they can properly take care of the problem. So I did. I wasn't wanting anything out of calling I simply wanted to let them know in hopes to save another child or adult from catching this. They transferred me over to someone I told her what happened she looked up when/where we stayed and then asked me "so are you calling to have us pay her medical bills?" No ma'am did you not just listen? I just stated her dr told me to call and let you know so you can properly wash and clean everything so it doesn't happen again. I have insurance I don't need for you to pay her bills... she told me she was sending a note to the area to let them know what happened.. but of course I'm writing a review. I need to let others know so if they don't take care
care the matter and you or or child wakes up with a itchy rash to please please make them move you. If they don't have any rooms available at that same hotel tell them to move you to a different hotel with rooms available. I should have fought harder for my daughter! Never in a million years would I ever expect my daughter to get a skin infection from a Disney hotel bed. We choose Disney resorts thinking they would be better then just an off hotel in the area. In this case we were wrong.
