Patenga is a beach in Chittagong city, just next to the mouth of the river Karnaphuli. The first part of the beach belongs to the navy, but the bigger part is open for the public. Extensive development work is underway for making a marine drive as of March 2019. It would become a very attractive tourist spot upon completion.
