I ordered a parcel from Amazon and paid and extra ...

I ordered a parcel from Amazon and paid and extra 40 to have it here in time for Santa. Was to be delivered Monday the 17th...never arrived. No one called me. I had already given the eircode. I contacted them to give the address details again. Each call I was assured my delivery would arrive the following day. I could see online that the item was sent back to the depot each evening and placed on hold. I had to ring twice a day to give the address, again no one contacted me. On Thursday the girl on the phone told me I would have my purchase 100% on the Friday but yet again, item placed on hold. I rang on the Friday and told it would be sent on the Saturday. When I told the staff member it wasn't good enough that it had to be looked into they then referred it to a supervisor. The supervisor was so nice very apologetic and told me he would look after it and make sure I received it on the Saturday. I gave my brother's address which would be easier as it's a housing estate. Then this morning, the item was not put out for delivery and I was told it would be Monday. There was no record of me speaking with anyone or the issue being escalated.I was so upset and asked to speak with the supervisor, when I eventually spoke to him (same person) he had no recollection of speaking with me. He did get it sorted, it arrived today. But the whole entire week was taken up with chasing a package that cost alot of money to arrive. With no call backs or customer service. Needless to say, I will avoid the company and couldn't recommend it.
