Possibly the worst experience me and the girls hav...

Possibly the worst experience me and the girls have had anywhere, I completely understand everyone needs to adapt to new rules due to Covid - But today it seemed the staff, or whoever was working there today was ready for an argument.

I had booked the 10am slot to see my parents who were camping there for the weekend, so we had pulled into the park, we saw a man sat on the bench as we came in ( No cars on either side of us ) so we proceeded to the reception car park where other cars were parked. As we drove onto the car park to park up, an old woman was flagging me down and pointing, I then opened the window and was the victim of a rude verbal attack, while the children were in the car. I got out and asked what the problem was and to not speak to me like that, the man then came over and carried on advising me that I drove straight past him and I should have stopped (albeit he was aggressive towards me as well, I said every time I have come here (before covid) we always went to the reception car park if there was space. The man lied and said he was standing up on the side of the road, waving at me, I was actually perplexed by them both and how they were speaking to me, and that I hadn't done it on purpose - It was as if they were out for blood, I actually felt personally attacked so I stuck up for myself telling them there was no signage advising I should stop, and he was sat down on the bench so how was I supposed to know when to stop. If that was where I was meant to stop then that's fine I got it wrong, but there was no need for the personal attack - Then another woman who obviously knew the man and woman came out advising that I should have to apologise to them ... I was obviously defensive as the woman originally had verbally attacked me and my kids in the car - All because I went to the car park and didn't stop (Like I say I would of if I had known) Luckily my parents came out from the campsite, as well as my two sisters who also advised that they nearly didn't stop but luckily there were cars already stopping. We have visited the park many times and it's been brilliant, before covid, but I didn't feel it was worth the verbal attack the fact I proceeded to the car park at reception to receive that. I turned around and said I am going, I shouldn't have to put up with this, as I drove out the old woman sarcastically waved at me as I left (Ill admit I swore back but this was an experience for me I will never forget) If id of known when to stop I would of, no cars were near me and the man was sat down on the bench and I was subject to a verbal attack.

I hope these people see my explanation, would be interesting to see CCTV to see whether the bloke said he was stood up and waving at me as I went past because we all know in the car he wasn't- either way its a real shame, I very much doubt we will be coming back anymore due to that going on, me, my kids and family shouldn't have had to experience that, although the person we spoke to on the phone the day before was very polite and helpful.

Just a message to everyone when pulling into the park when no cars are around to stop immediately and dont proceed to the car park where other cars are, otherwise you could be in for the same treatment.

Also advised that I should read the print when booking the tickets that I need to stop on the corner before the car park to prove admission and gain entry.
