If I could give this hospital's emergency departme...

If I could give this hospital's emergency department, particularly Dr. Richard McMonigal, ZERO stars I would. I was taken to this hospital by an ambulance as it was closest. Unfortunately, I have been battling a chronic illness and my care team is located in Seattle, about 20 miles away. Dr. McMonigal made no effort to contact any of my attending physicians and dismissed my concern that I had a pulmonary embolism (I've had five so I knew something was wrong). He came into my room and said my blood tests showed no PE. This is preposterous as a specific CT scan must be conducted to rule a PE out. I requested the test. He refused to perform the test and refused any kind of pain control. I was left to call an Uber and go home. The next morning I was still having disturbing symptoms. I had a friend drive me to Seattle and discovered I DID have a clot in my lung! And yet, the final insult has yet to be delivered - the bill. It's amazing to me: if I failed miserably at my job I wouldn't get paid. Yet, no matter the transgression, the medical community ALWAYS gets their pound of flesh - sometimes, quite literally. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! (FYI: MultiCare is a FOR PROFIT healthcare system)
