I was going from Houston to ShenZhen and back, transfered in PEK twice. First time was 4 AM in the morning so it was pretty empty, and HUGE. Everything was quick and easy. But second time it was 8 in the morning, people were literally, EVERYWHERE. No matter where you go, it's going to be a little or VERY crowded. Flying in busy hour usually resulted in delay since SO MANY people try to fly! It happens to any big Chinese cities! So the second time I tookoff 3 hours after the original schedule! Not the greatest idea to transfer in China, especially during busy hours. By the way, Air quality wasn't that great outside, but inside it is a lot better.
